The Democratic Republic of Congo needs our help, and I want to help them!

Currently 6 million Congolese are displaced because their country has the most raw materials of any country. Diamonds, gold, iron ore, the list goes on as well as cobalt and coltan- which is used in just about all of our technology. Not only are they displaced but children are in the mines and nobody is paid a fair wage for their labor. A big way to help right now is to not buy any new technology, no new phone or laptop. Use what you have until it's unusable, and then buy refurbished. As a broke bitch I've been buying refurbished for years, and it's perfectly good technology because the United States has an overconsumption problem.
